Larsen's Opening
White's complete intermediate repertoire in Larsen's Opening / Nimzo-Larsen Attack (1.b3). Seven drills cover the classical 1...e5 with Na3-Nc4 maneuver, the 1...d5 KIA hybrid, the anti-Sicilian 1...c5 with the Ne1-f3/f4 plan, the 1...Nf6 double fianchetto, the 1...e6 quiet Hedgehog, the 1...b6 mirror with the d5 wedge, and the 1...g6 Modern Defence with c4/d4/d5.
Larsen's Opening (1.b3) is the flexible, surprise-weapon attack — White fianchettoes the queenside bishop first, dictates central play move-by-move and transposes into favourable KIA, English, and classical structures at will. This pack drills the seven critical Black answers with a complete, intermediate-level reply for each: the classical 1...e5 with Bb5 and the Na3-Nc4 bishop trade, the solid 1...d5 met by a KIA hybrid with Nf1-g3, the anti-Sicilian 1...c5 with the Bxc6 trade and Ne1-f3/f4 expansion, the hyper-modern 1...Nf6 with a double fianchetto and the Nd5 maneuver, the quiet 1...e6 with the classical centre and queenside grip, the symmetrical 1...b6 with the d5 wedge, and the Modern 1...g6 with c4/d4/d5 to gain space. Thirty exam positions sharpen the key decisions — when to play c4, when to push d5, the knight maneuvers Na3-Nc4 and Ne1-f3, and the f4 expansion — so every Black first move has a prepared, principled White answer.
