Sacrifice the e5-pawn after 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 e5 to drag White out of theory, win the pawn back with active piece play, and dominate the dark squares.
The Budapest is a complete, club-ready answer to 1.d4 c4 with surprise value and serious bite. One move (...e5) skips the entire Queen's Gambit / Indian Defenses jungle, and rich tactical lines like 4.Bf4 Adler, 4.Nf3 Rubinstein, 4.e4 Alekhine, the 3.d5 declined and the wild Fajarowicz 3...Ne4 are all covered drill by drill, with a coach for every move and 30 puzzles built on Budapest motifs (Nxe5, Bb4+, Qh4+, ...g5–g4).
